  5.     CurveFit is an application that fits a user-defined function, with up to 26 parameters, to a set of data.  Data sets can by typed into a matrix or can be read from and saved to files.  Graphs of the data and the curve are displayed. The user can watch the curve change as the application optimizes the parameter values to minimize the chi-squared value.       
  6.     The user defined function can involve any of the following functions:  SIN, COS, ABS, SQR, SQRT, EXP, LOG, LOG10, TAN, INT and ATN.

  8. This software was developed under the 2.0 NeXT release.

  10. Note:  CurveFit will look for the file "defaultData.ded" in the user's home directory. However, this file is not neccessary.
